The New York Rangers released their 2016-2017 schedule today, and it starts off with a bang. It will be the 90th season for the Blueshirts.
The New York Rangers are not wasting any time pumping up the rivalries this fall, as they will open up their 2016-17 season against the New York Islanders at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, October 13th.It’s very likely that both of these teams will have a different look to them as both of the Big Apple hockey clubs are facing cap issues.
In their first full week of the season, the Blueshirts will face some teams who made some deep playoff runs last season, most notably the San Jose Sharks and Washington Capitals.
The Rangers will not face the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins until late November, where they will face-off twice in one week.

Hopefully the this schedule will bring some added excitement to your day, as more is hopefully on the horizon as the NHL Draft is quickly approaching on June 24th-25th in Buffalo, New York.
