New York Rangers: Eric Staal Tallies First Goal As Blueshirt (Video)

The New York Rangers’ Eric Staal makes it 4-3 Islanders and gives the Blueshirts some hope heading into the second period.

There is nothing like a New York Rangers-New York Islanders game, and this match-up is no different.

In the video above Eric Staal keeps the Rangers’ hopes alive with his first goal while wearing the Blueshirt. Brought to New York at the deadline, Staal’s leadership and expertise was felt immediately by the Blueshirts. The former Hurricanes’ captain was brought to NY to help with a Stanley Cup run, and tonight he is showing why he is capable.

There is nothing like seeing a game like this. Normally there is always something different that happens in Rangers-Islanders matchups, but tonight has been one of the best.

The Isles jumped out fast and took a 3-0 lead, and a shift with Eric Staal and Oscar Lindberg started the uphill climb in the dying minutes of the first period at the Garden.

The Isles currently lead 4-3 during the first intermission in this crazy high-scoring affair.

I love watching sports, specifically teams in New York. I'll root for all New York teams, but the New York Rangers and hockey are my number one. I am an avid hockey fan and enjoy expressing my opinion on the Blueshirts, when they are playing good and bad.
