The New York Rangers announced this morning that captain Ryan McDonagh did not suffer a concussion from the Leo Komarov hit.
Komarov received a three game suspension without pay as a result of the dirty hit.
McDonagh’s injuries have been listed as a jaw contusion and neck spasms, which is relatively good news.

And the good news just keeps rolling because forward Daniel Paille, who was supposedly acquired to fix the penalty kill, has been placed on waivers.

Not only has Paille not improved the PK unit but he has been a downright liability. It’s no surprise that the Rangers are trying to shed some dead weight.
