Get ready to ride the New York Rangers injury roller coaster again because the Blueshirts have lost their most consistent defenseman once again.

By Chris Wengert

The New York Rangers have once again lost Kevin Klein to injury, this time a fractured thumb.

The injury comes at a time when the Rangers have finally started to find their defensive play, and Kevin Klein has played a large role in that success.

With Rick Nash also out, the Rangers have now lost two of their most effective players.

Dylan McIlrath will now see a regular shift, something that most Rangers fans have been calling for. This is all well and good but it also means that Dan Boyle will also be receiving regular minutes.

The bottom line is that Rangers will need some dormant players to step up to fill these voids.

I've been a die hard Rangers and Giants fan for as long as I can remember. I enjoy sharing opinions, and hearing from fans that love their teams just as much as I do. Henrik Lundqvist makes all of us look like mere mortals. E-mail me at: Chris.Wengert@elitesportsny.com
