New York Rangers’ Derick Brassard scored 35 seconds into the third period to even the game against the Boston Bruins at one.

By Chris Wengert

Just when you thought the New York Rangers were going to go quietly into the good night, Derick Brassard says “No Sir”.

Mats Zuccarello drove to the net to create the chance and Brassard finished the play with an easy slam-dunk shot.

The game has been an even affair, with both teams trading chances.

Henrik Lundqvist let in a soft snap shot midway through the second period. The goal was scored by none other than Kevin Hayes‘ brother, Jimmy Hayes.

The Rangers have the momentum and are effectively using their speed.

Time will tell if they can they keep up the momentum and the strong transition play through the neutral zone.

Viktor Stalberg almost put the Blueshirts ahead with a shot that beat Tuukka Rask but rung off of the post.

I've been a die hard Rangers and Giants fan for as long as I can remember. I enjoy sharing opinions, and hearing from fans that love their teams just as much as I do. Henrik Lundqvist makes all of us look like mere mortals. E-mail me at: Chris.Wengert@elitesportsny.com
