One clear positive came out of the New York Knicks romp of the Brooklyn Nets: Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis are on the same page.

“This early we didn’t think that this kind of the jelling and the chemistry we have so far would be there. We all thought this would take some time to kind of figure out, but anytime you can play with a stretch 4, it makes the game a little bit easier. And it’s easier to figure that out. When you have a stretch-4 guy who can play the wing, and he’s 7-3, you know where he’s at, you know what he can do. So that makes the game easier. It makes the chemistry process that much easier.” Knicks star Carmelo Anthony told Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News.

Man was he right.

In the New York Knicks 108-91 win over the Brooklyn Nets, both Melo and Kristaps Porzingis complimented each other in ways that left smiles on the faces of Knicks fans.

In the video below, Zinger and Melo go for back to back three pointers as the Knicks handled the Nets with ease.

This seemed to be the theme for the night. One guy would do a solid, and the other would follow with a solid.  It was good organized team basketball, something that is fading out slowly in the NBA.

Porzingis and Melo seem to be a perfect fit for each other, and it was shown with a give and go they ran in the 3rd quarter.

This play was beautiful. Good old fashioned team based basketball.

One of Melo’s biggest flaws was that he demands the ball in his hands at all times, and he is not a team player. Well, at least so far this year that does not to seem to be the case as Melo and Porzingis have worked together all season to make the Knicks a squad that play together as a team. Now a days a lot of basketball teams consists of one or two stars that dictate how a team plays, so its nice to see the Knicks all play together as one unit which is not the norm anymore in the NBA.

The Melo and Porzingis duo is developing into something special that all Knick fans should be excited about, both players thrive off each others energy which makes the duo that much more special.
