Different night, yet same story for the New York Rangers as tonight they decided to knock off the very average Hurricanes 3-0 at MSG.
New York Rangers 3 (11-2-2, 24 pts)
Carolina Hurricanes 0 (6-9-0, 12 pts)

Dominating, suffocating and straight up brilliant. That’s how the New York Rangers have been playing as of late.
Unfortunately for the Carolina Hurricanes, the Blueshirts carried this super momentum into Tuesday night’s contest. Even worse, New York’s top goal scorer now seems to have gotten his feet under him this season.
Just 11-seconds after Jesper Fast put one past Cam Ward to open the scoring, Rick Nash scored his first (real) goal of the season thanks to Mats Zuccarello’s brilliant pass:
Those two goals were more than enough for Henrik Lundqvist. The King picked up the shutout while making 33 tough saves on the night.

The win is the Rangers 11th on the season. They’re now sitting pretty in the Metropolitan Division, four full points over the Washington Capitals. Next up for Alain Vigneault’s squad will be the St. Louis Blues at The Garden on Thursday night.
