Eli Manning put together a masterful game winning drive to give his New York Giants a 30-27 victory over the San Francisco 49ers on SNF.

When Carlos Hyde ran the ball across the goalline with just 1:45 to play, fans of the New York Giants everywhere couldn’t believe what they were watching. The San Francisco 49ers had just taken a 27-23 lead after they drove 80-yards in 7-plays in just under three minutes.

This was not supposed to happen. Colin Kaepernick has routinely been proving John Harbaugh’s true worth this season and the 49ers lost three in a row entering tonight’s game.

Those thoughts quickly melted away because Eli Manning proceeded to do what he does best. He excelled during crunch-time. Against a very vanilla 2-man under defense, Eli drove the length of the field and hit Larry Donnell in the endzone on a seam route with just 21-seconds remaining.

What was more impressive than Eli’s drive was Donnell’s catch. It came with a very good coverage linebacker in NaVorro Bowman draped all over him. Holding onto it as he fell to the ground was another feat in itself.

The play capped an amazing night for Manning. He threw for 441 yards and 3 TD on 41-of-54 passing. The 41 completions sets a new Giants franchise record.

Odell Beckham Jr. had quite the night himself. He hauled in 221 yards and a TD on seven catches. This, despite missing the last few drives (aside from a couple plays on the final drive) due to a banged up hammy.

The Giants now sit comfortably atop the NFC East division with a 3-2 record. The three other teams all sit at 2-3 now after Week 5. Next up for Big Blue will be the Eagles in Philadelphia on Monday Night Football.
