The time for counting down is over as Todd Bowles and the New York Jets get the 2015 NFL season started today against the Cleveland Browns.

It’s pretty obvious what the line of thinking is as we head into the New York Jets 2015 NFL regular season opening game today against the Cleveland Browns. It’s that there are many things to watch out for.
So many new faces and angles to keep an eye on at MetLife Stadium today.
First and foremost comes the return of Darrelle Revis, who was ceremoniously signed this past offseason by Mike Maccagnan. He’ll play his first game as a Jet today, the team who drafted him, since 2012.
He’ll join Antonio Cromartie in making his Jets return. Other newcomers who’ll play in their first game as a member of Gang Green will be Brandon Marshall, Marcus Gilchrist, James Carpenter and Buster Skrine.
Most importantly, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is also a part of that group. He’ll start in place of Geno Smith who’s still dealing with a broken jaw thanks to the locker room sucker-punch dealt out by former Jets linebacker IK Enemkpali.
To see how Fitzpatrick and offensive coordinator Chan Gailey attacks this Browns defense who finished just 23rd in in yards allowed a season ago will be interesting.
They’ll surely look to pound the ball with Chris Ivory, but don’t expect the same timid pass-game you were used to seeing from Rex Ryan’s offense.

Fitzpatrick is certainly looking forward to it, via ESPN:
“You know what?” Fitzpatrick said. “It’s going to be awesome.”
What will also be awesome is throwing to Brandon Marshall, the man who’s compiled 773 receptions and 9,771 yards during his nine-year NFL career.
“I feel like I’m breaking through my potential,” Marshall said. “It’s weird because I’m 31 years old and it’s year 10, but I honestly feel great.”
With the Jets traveling to Indianapolis next week to face the high-powered Colts, Week 1 becomes that much more important. Kickoff will come your way at 1 PM ET.
