The New York Giants disappointed in preseason game No. 1 against the Bengals in Cincinnati on Friday night.

  • New York Giants: 10
  • Cincinnati Bengals: 23
  • Eli Manning: 4-8, 22 yards
  • Orleans Darkwa: 9 carries, 52 yards, 1 TD

Eli Manning finished 4-for-8 with 22 yards during his only drive of the night. His New York Giants wound up losing to the Cincinnati Bengals 23-10 in their first preseason game of the 2015 NFL season.

The biggest highlight of the night came from running back Akeem Hunt who returned a kick 70-yards in dazzling fashion.

Much like the Jets from a night ago, Tom Coughlin’s concern will surely be with the defense. They allowed Andy Dalton, A.J. Green and company to drive right down their throats on the opening drive of the game, capping off with a Mohamed Sanu 3-yard TD reception.

All told the Giants defense gave up 432 yards to their own 224.

Their next test will come next Saturday at home as they welcome in the young Jacksonville Jaguars.
