New York Giants pass-rusher Jason Pierre-Paul has now missed his chance to sign a long-term deal prior to the 2015 NFL season.
Today marked the deadline for franchise-tagged players to negotiate a multi-year deal with their current teams. The day has passed and J.P.P. is still on a one year status with the New York Giants, via Dan Graziano of ESPN New York.

The news comes around the same time he was released from the hospital, recovering from his severe right-hand injuries.
Worse than the contract though, is the fact that Joel McHale is busting on the Giants pass-rusher at the ESPYS tonight:

Yup, they went there. Even Ronnie Lott, who also had to endure a missing finger (partially), is providing Pierre-Paul with advice:
