It seems to be an annual meeting between the New York Rangers and Washington Capitals, but yet again, they meet in the playoffs.

File this one under the “strange” and “unusual” category.
For the fifth time in seven seasons, the New York Rangers and Washington Capitals will meet each other in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The series will feature a physical Caps bunch going up against the speedy Rangers.
It will also garner storylines surrounding both Henrik Lundqvist and Alex Ovechkin. Both guys are still in that unwanted category of being elite hockey studs, while still awaiting their first taste of champagne from the Stanley Cup.
What this series also brings to the table is wacky thoughts and traditions.
The Rangers official Twitter account has decided to either start a new tradition, or continue the crazy world of hockey superstitions.
They’ve decided to ban all capital letters on their Twitter account:
so we meet again #nyr

Those two Tweets are just two examples of what will occur all series long.
