The New York Yankees hope to kick off their second half after positive COVID tests forced them to postpone Thursday’s game.

The New York Yankees hoped to begin the second half of their season against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday. Unfortunately, six positive COVID-19 tests among Yankees players, including star outfielder Aaron Judge, prevented that and there’s still a chance that tonight’s game might not happen.

Thursday’s game was the only one on the docket across MLB, so the standings remain unchanged. Boston is in first place in the AL East, and the Yankees are tied with the Toronto Blue Jays for third, sitting eight games out.
