WFAN’s drivetime program “Carton & Roberts” will start simulcasting on SNY’s television network beginning in May.

You will now be able to witness Craig Carton and Evan Roberts live on your television.

Starting in May (with a tentative date of May 3), SNY will simulcast “Carton & Roberts,” WFAN Sports Radio’s drivetime program. The show normally runs from 2:00 p.m. ET until 7:00 p.m. ET on weekdays. However, SNY will only broadcast the show from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. right before its Mets coverage (first pitch for Mets games on SNY usually occurs around 7:00 p.m.).

The show is fairly new and just commenced at the beginning of November 2020. Carton returned to the airwaves following a three-year hiatus from radio due to charges for securities fraud and wire fraud, of which he served a little over a year of an original 3.5-year prison sentence.

His return to the Fan lined up with the retirement of Joe Benigno, who was Roberts’ on-air partner since 2007. When “Carton & Roberts” began, the show extended to 7:00 p.m. in comparison to 6:00 p.m., when “Benigno & Roberts” would normally conclude.

“Carton & Roberts” has succeeded as of late. Per Neil Best of Newsday, the show surpassed ESPN Radio’s “The Michael Kay Show” with Michael Kay, Don La Greca, and Peter Rosenberg in the ratings for the month of January.

The success is partly due to the return of Carton, who’s proven to be one of the more rambunctious but entertaining voices in radio. Now, this new simulcast deal is expected to further enhance the overall success of the New York-based radio program.
