The New York Knicks will be without Derrick Rose on Tuesday night. He’s out for health and safety protocols.

The New York Knicks are thin at point guard depth following this Derrick Rose news. Shortly before the team’s game against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night, the team announced Rose would miss the game for health and safety protocols.

Elfrid Payton is listed on the NBA injury report as doubtful with right hamstring soreness. After starting the first 32 games of the 2020-21 season, Payton has missed three games in a row with this injury. Rose started all three of those games.

That leaves Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett, Frank Ntilikina, and Austin Rivers as the point guard options. Quickley and Ntilikina have been manning the second unit during Payton’s absence.

Stay tuned for more to come on this developing story.
