New York Jets running back Le’Veon Bell expresses great confidence in how he’s performed thus far in 2019.

Believe it or not, the New York Jets are one of the hottest teams in football right now while riding a three-game win streak.

Second-year quarterback Sam Darnold is leading the charge. The Southern California product has completed 65.2% of his throws for 838 yards and nine total touchdowns in the latest trio of victories.

Newly-acquired running back Le’Veon Bell has also found himself on the stat sheet during the team’s most recent surge. He’s rushed for a touchdown in two of the last three games, having only rushed for one score in the eight games prior to the streak.

Bell spoke to reporters on Friday and showcased the confidence in how he’s performed this season, despite what the numbers may say.

“I feel good, I’m just glad we’re winning games right now,” he said. “I understand the game of football, we’re gonna have some ups and downs. As long as we’re winning games, we’re fine”

“I’m not feeling bad about myself or anything. This is some of the best football I’ve played,” Bell added. “The last two games I didn’t even play in the fourth quarter. We can’t expect me to get 150 yards when I’m not even playing in the fourth quarter. And that’s a good problem to have. The fact that we’ve been doing that, that’s all that matters to me.”

Through 11 games, Bell has rushed for 557 yards on 3.2 yards-per-carry with three touchdowns. He’s also caught 51 balls for 368 yards and one score.

He’s proven to be a leader on this Jets team that looks to remain hot against the winless Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday.
