New York Jets cornerback Brian Poole has successfully recovered the ball from his pick-six against the Raiders.

The New York Jets put together their best performance of the season on Sunday, ousting the Oakland Raiders 34-3. Gang Green’s defense really stepped up in what was their fourth victory of 2019, forcing the Raiders offense into two costly turnovers. One of these takeaways happened to be a 15-yard pick-six from cornerback Brian Poole in the third quarter.

However, not everything on the interception return went Poole’s way. The ball he carried into the end zone was taken away from him by a fan. Poole thus took to Twitter in an attempt to contact the fan and retrieve the ball back.

The search for the ball sparked a movement among Jets fans, to the point where a New York City strip club offered numerous rewards to the thief if he returned it.

Luckily, the ball has been retrieved and was in Poole’s possession as of Tuesday.

The pick-six was Poole’s first interception of the year as well as the first touchdown of his career. Poole is currently in his fourth season in the NFL and in his inaugural campaign with the Jets. He spent his initial three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons from 2016-18.

Along with the interception return, Poole racked up one combined tackle in the win.

The Jets are now on a three-game win streak after defeating the New York Giants, Washington Redskins, and Raiders. They’re 4-7 heading into their Week 13 road matchup with the winless Cincinnati Bengals.
