Dealing with several ailments entering the road matchup with the Redskins, New York Jets RB Le’Veon Bell will indeed partake in Sunday’s showdown.

LANDOVER, MDNew York Jets running back Le’Veon Bell is active for today’s game against the Washington Redskins (1:00 p.m. ET, FOX).

The veteran rusher endured a painful week. He was listed on the team’s Friday injury report as questionable after dealing with a rib and knee ailments, as well as an illness that kept him out of Wednesday’s practice. However, he will take the field in Landover as the Jets seek their second win in a row.

Bell has earned 449 yards and two scores on 143 carries as a Jet this season. Sunday will mark his first career meeting against the Redskins, who likewise announced that a strong rusher would return. Derrius Guice will also be making his Landover debut alongside quarterback Dwayne Haskins.

The second-round pick from 2018’s draft missed all of his rookie season with a torn ACL sustained in the first preseason game of his career. He partook in the Redskins’ Week 1 loss in Philadelphia, carrying 10 times for 18 yards.

The Jets’ active list included cornerbacks Nate Hairston and Darryl Roberts, linebackers Paul Worrilow and C.J. Mosley, safety Matthias Farley, defensive lineman Jordan Willis and offensive lineman Leo Koloamatangi.
