A little kid draped in New York Jets colors had the Robby Anderson touchdown ball stolen by a Washington Redskins fan.

The nerve of this guy is unreal.

Not only did New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson score the touchdown, but the man who stole the ball is a Washington Redskins fan.

Rule No. 1 when attending sporting events: never take away a special moment from a youngster. Never.

After Anderson hopped into the FedEx Field on Sunday, during his team’s dominant 34-17 victory, a Redskins fan swiped the touchdown ball from a little kid draped in Gotham Green.

Didn’t quite catch it? Here you go:

Anderson finished with just six yards on one reception, but it counted as six points. Sam Darnold tossed four touchdowns in the contest, the Jets’ second consecutive victory.

More important than the touchdown or the victory, at least at this very moment, is the rotten move pulled off by one of D.C.’s worst.

Adult on adult crime in the stands is fair game. Adult on kid crime is something nobody should ever witness, especially when going after a ball the kid’s team owns.

That was Robby Anderson’s touchdown. That was the New York Jets core. That was the kid’s ball to take home.

Instead of a special memory for life, the kid walks away with one more horrible D.C. story that he’ll surely tell for the rest of his life.

What a terrible human being the football world witnessed on Sunday in the New York Jets dominant victory over the Washington Redskins.
