When asked in a Bleacher Report AMA who he wants to posterize in the NBA, New York Knicks rookie RJ Barrett chose Kristaps Porzingis.

The New York Knicks traded their star player, Kristaps Porzingis, in January and now his replacement wants to put him on a poster. Rookie RJ Barrett chose Porzingis when asked about who he wants to dunk on.

Barrett did mention that there was another name he wanted to mention but settled on Porzingis. If this were to happen in Madison Square Garden, the roof might pop off. Knicks fans still feel jilted by Porzingis and it’s safe to say he’s public enemy No. 1 in New York.

The Knicks will travel to Dallas to take on Porzingis and the Mavericks on Nov. 8. This will be the first time the Latvian big man faces his old team. Less than a week later (Nov. 14), the Mavericks will enter the crucible of The Garden and Porzingis will be subject to thousands of Knicks fans.

Porzingis is actually in a great situation with his new team. He was signed to a maximum extension despite not playing a game in the 2018-19 season. Now he and Luka Doncic will team up to make one of the most exciting young duos in the NBA.

The Knicks, on the other hand, are a mix of young talent and experienced veterans. The roster is much improved over last year’s squad, but the Knicks are still looking for a star to lead them.

Barrett certainly has the personality and charisma for the position.
