The New York Jets are entering as big underdogs against the Cleveland Browns on Monday and one bettor is putting a boatload on the favorite.

Following Sam Darnold‘s mononucleosis diagnosis, the Cleveland Browns became heavy favorites against the New York Jets. One New Jersey bettor is confident enough to put $195,000 on the Browns moneyline according to Darren Rovell of Action Network.

“DraftKings just took its biggest bet on tonight’s Browns-Jets Monday Night Football game,” wrote Rovell. “One New Jersey bettor wagered $195,000 on Cleveland to beat the Jets straight-up. The bet, which was placed at -295 odds via DraftKings’ mobile app, would net this bettor $66,300.”

That is a ridiculous amount of money to put on the Cleveland Browns of all teams. The Browns were just slapped around by the mediocre Tennessee Titans, on their own field no less. Cleveland entered 2019 with a lot of hype, but they have yet to live up to any of it.

Sure, the Jets are ravaged by injuries at the moment. Darnold won’t be under center, but Trevor Siemian is a competent backup with starting experience.

C.J. Mosley is a big loss on the defensive side of the ball. However, no defensive coordinator in the NFL knows the Browns and Baker Mayfield as well as Gregg Williams. He was the interim head coach for Cleveland after Hue Jackson’s firing last season. Williams led those Browns to a 5-3 record to end the season.

The Browns have the talent to dominate the Jets, but $195,000 is a lot of money to throw down on an unproven team on the road.
