The New York Jets sign wide receiver Quincy Adeboyejo and waive wide receiver J.J. Jones as the regular season approaches.

The New York Jets have made some changes to the wide receiver room.

On Thursday, the team announced that they’ve signed receiver Quincy Adeboyejo. New York additionally waived receiver J.J. Jones.

Adeboyejo, 24, played his college ball at Ole Miss. In 38 career games for the Rebels, Adeboyejo caught 106 balls for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns.

He went undrafted in 2017 and signed with the Baltimore Ravens in May of that same year. Baltimore waived Adeboyejo and signed him to their practice squad in September of 2017. The Ravens then promoted him to the active roster thereafter in December.

The Ravens ultimately waived Adeboyejo this past July with a non-football injury designation.

Adeboyejo only played in one regular-season game during his time as a Raven.

The 26-year-old Jones played his college ball at the University of West Georgia. The Jets signed him to their practice squad in October of 2018. They then promoted him to their active roster in December, in which he played in the regular-season finale.

The Jets await their third preseason game against the New Orleans Saints on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET. They then will play their final preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday, Aug. 29 at 7:00 p.m. ET.

New York saw one tally in each of the win and loss columns for their first two preseason games. They initially lost to the New York Giants 31-22. In Week 2, they defeated the Atlanta Falcons 22-10.
