RJ Barrett, Jarrett Culver, and PJ Washington are all potential lottery picks and ESNY’s Mike Vivalo had the chance to speak with all three.

Duke’s RJ Barrett, Texas Tech’s Jarrett Culver, and Kentucky’s PJ Washington are all going to be first-round picks. Culver and Barrett could be on the radar of the New York Knicks at No. 3 while Washington is currently projected to go towards the end of the lottery.

ESNY’s-own Mike Vivalo sat down with Barrett, Culver, and Washington ahead of the draft.

Barrett will most likely be the pick at No. 3 overall for the New York Knicks despite the team hosting last-minute workouts for Coby White and Darius Garland.

Coming into his freshman season, many believed that Barrett could be the first overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. That was before Zion Williamson captivated the world and cemented his place at the top of everyone’s draft boards.

Culver, who apparently has a sweet tooth, is expected to go in the top-five. The sophomore’s stock rose during Texas Tech’s magical run in the NCAA Tournament. He has a high motor and he’s coming into the league with elite defensive potential.

Washington isn’t one of the guys in this draft that we’ve heard a lot about, but he has defensive length and projects as a solid rotational piece.

If Washington lands in the right situation, he could develop into a nice piece on a winning team. The Miami Heat make a lot of sense due to their established culture and a top-notch coaching staff led by head coach Erik Spoelstra.

All three of these guys will see their lives change dramatically on Thursday night. The 2019 NBA Draft begins at 7:00 p.m. ET.
