The first look at New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones on the practice field is here and it’s brought mixed reactions.
The first look at Daniel Jones is in and well … who in the world knows?
To get all nuts about a few throws at practice is something better off not executed. The No. 6 overall draftee throwing at New York Giants rookie minicamp must be taken in exactly on face value.

An out on the sideline without the route:

Now we’re talking; Jones to the left on an intermediate out:

Finally, to spark the senses further, a silky-smooth handoff:

Young Jones even stated his goals:

And the Giants put it all together to show off their new future franchise arm:

Are you in love yet?
Jones, 21, is, of course, No. 2 behind Eli Manning. The two-time Super Bowl champ will have a lot to say about when and how much time Jones receives in 2019.
In 36 career games at the collegiate level at Duke, Jones threw for 8,201 yards to go along with 52 touchdowns to 29 interceptions on a 59.9 completion percentage.
It’s impossible to judge the kid’s future on those stats alone. Playing with not one professional-caliber player, Jones found himself on an island as a Blue Devil.
What we know for sure is the Daniel Jones-New York Giants era has officially begun at the modest of levels.
