Despite all of the rumors out there surrounding Manny Machado, the New York Yankees have the best betting odds to sign him.

Somehow, someway, the New York Yankees currently hold the best betting odds to sign Manny Machado, according to betting site BetOnline.

With 1/2 odds to sign the 26-year-old superstar free agent, the Yankees continue to be the favorite to sign him, which is quite remarkable considering all of the rumors of late.

What this shows is that the longer it takes Machado to sign, the better the odds are he ends up a Yankee.

New York reportedly offered Machado a seven- or eight-year deal worth around $220 million, according to MLB Network’s Jim Duquette, but he quickly retracted, saying it was just a rumor he was hearing.

Bettors are picking baseball’s other prized free agent, Bryce Harper, to sign with the San Francisco Giants at 1/1 odds, the best bet other than Machado’s 1/2 odds to ink with the Yankees.

Now, if you are a Yankees fan, I don’t think you’d be willing to take that bet, considering everything that has unfolded this winter.

New York went from being the favorites to sign Machado all the way to practically being out on him just a few weeks ago. The safer bet would probably be him going to the Chicago White Sox.

The Yankees added two other infielders not named Machado this offseason in Troy Tulowitzki and DJ LeMahieu while still employing infielders Miguel Andujar and Gleyber Torres, both of whom finished in the top three in the 2018 AL Rookie of the Year voting.

No matter what happens, we can be thankful spring training is right around the corner and all of these rumors can finally come to an end.

Until then, go out there and place a bet, if you can legally do so. You never know if luck is on your side.
