When he’s not busting mascot’s ribs (fictional or not), he’s looking forward to the prosperous future.

New York Jets stud safety Jamal Adams can’t wait for the 2019 NFL campaign.

While in Orlando for the league’s Pro Bowl festivities, Adams, while showcasing great-time vibes, discussed his eagerness for year three in Florham Park, New Jersey, via Eric Allen of the Jets official website.

“I’m excited to have Coach Gase join the start of something new, I believe. He definitely reached out to me and gave me kind words,” Adams said. “He was just saying it’s a long way ahead and he’s excited for it. And he’s looking forward to working with me. He said I gave him a couple of problems through the years, so he’s definitely excited to coach me.”

After speaking on Gase, Adams couldn’t stop glowing in regards to his new defensive boss, the intense Gregg Williams.

“Energy, passion, just holding guys accountable, talking noise — he’s all of the above,” Adams said. “But I don’t say that just because he’s the new DC. I say that because it’s facts. I do strongly believe he’s the best in the business. He’s definitely going to help us for the future.”

Adams, 23, is already, arguably, the best safety in the NFL. A 2nd-Team All-Pro selection this past season, the LSU product was robbed of 1st-Team honors. This is by no means meant as disrespect to either Eddie Jackson or rookie Derwin James, but Adams finished the season as the best safety in the league while playing behind the worst conventional pass rush in the league.

In 16 games, Adams collected an interception, 12 pass break-ups, 3.5 sacks, one fumble recovery, three forced fumbles, nine tackles for loss, and 115 total tackles.

Don’t think the kid is sitting in a room all by himself while only picturing 2019. He’s also enjoying the moment, his first Pro-Bowl selection.

“It’s exciting, man, honestly, just to be here with some of these great players and be recognized as a great player by my peers and the fans. It’s definitely an honor and I’m excited to be here.”

Next up for Jamal Adams’s squad is free agency. Then it’s on to the NFL Draft.

Only time will tell what degree of support No. 33 receives heading into this summer’s training camp.
