Jamal Adams went full fanboy in a video posted on Sunday, jokingly trying to call Sam Darnold away from adoring young New York Jets fans.

Sam Darnold’s biggest fan may be suiting up with him every weekend.

Safety Jamal Adams, who has a solid following of his own after a breakout rookie season, posted a video from the Atlantic Health Training Center in Florham Park, NJ. It looks like the facilities were invaded by young New York Jets fans desperate for a visit from Darnold.

Adams, however, wants Darnold all to himself, evidenced in the video, posted to Twitter on Sunday afternoon.

If Darnold can awaken a dormant Jets offense, there will likely be no shortage of enthusiasm from Adams. He headlined a strong Jets defensive effort in 2017, earning All-Rookie Team honors from the Pro Football Writers Association as he helped the Jets finish eighth in total defense. But the Jets struggled when they had the ball, finishing 28th in the league in yards and 24th in the league in scoring.

The fanboy video is not the first time Adams has expressed his love of all things Darnold on social media. For example, minutes after the Jets made Darnold the third overall pick in April’s draft, Adams channeled his inner Fireman Ed in a joyous tweet.

The two first-round selections will next get a chance to earn an even bigger legion of fans on Friday night, as they partake in the annual preseason showdown against the New York Giants (7:30 p.m. ET, WCBS).
