Gary Sanchez and Giancarlo Stanton broke out in a big way leading the New York Yankees past the Boston Red Sox amid a hard-hitting brawl courtesy of Tyler Austin.

The New York Yankees first meeting of the season against Boston turned out as complete domination by the Red Sox. Tuesday night felt more of like games from the old Yankee-Red Sox matchups with plenty of offense and multiple bench clearings, and, of course, a Yankees 10-7 victory.
It all started with the Giancarlo Stanton and a bases-clearing triple giving the Yankees the early lead.

It was great for Stanton who built off a good night Tuesday night. He was just one of the Yankees who was looking to break out of a slump, the other Gary Sanchez.
Sanchez came into the night two for his last 26 and good numbers of Boston starter David Price. The numbers would only get better for Sanchez of Price after slugging a ball over the Green Monster to give the Yankees a 4-0 lead in the first.
Sanchez wouldn’t be done after the hot start to the game. He would add a double in his second at-bat, followed by another home run in fourth. At the end of the night, he drove in four of the Yankees 10 runs.
Things were looking good for the Yankees heading into the bottom of the fifth. Masahiro Tanaka had retired 10 in a row and had a great pitch count entering the fifth. But a 38-pitch inning which included a J.D. Martinez grand slam put Boston right back in the game.
The Yankees would add on two runs to take a 10-6 lead in the seventh and then things just got ugly. Earlier in the game, Tyler Austin slid hard into second base and Boston did not like that.
Benches would clear but no punches were thrown. In the seventh, however, Joe Kelly decided to retaliate hitting Austin with a pitch. Austin did not like that and would charge the mound.

Austin, Kelly, and Yankees third base coach Phil Nevin were ejected from the game, as a result, the brawl.
The Yankees bullpen would get the job done as Chad Green, David Robertson, and Aroldis Chapman would secure the win breaking the Yankees two-game losing streak. Sonny Gray will get the ball in the rubber match of the three-game set against Rick Porcello.
