No better time to sign a deal with @nyjets then waiting on some @ChickfilA

New York Jets quarterback Josh McCown signed his new contract at a fast food restaurant in Texas, none other than Chick-fil-A.
After losing the Kirk Cousins sweepstakes to the Minnesota Vikings, the New York Jets re-signed quarterback Josh McCown.
More specifically, McCown re-signed with the Jets for one year and $10 million.
Usually, when a team signs or re-signs a player, they post a photo of the player sitting at a desk signing the contract. However, McCown wasn’t at a desk when he signed his new Jets contract this time around. Instead, he was at a Chick-fil-A in Texas (as evidenced by the tweet above).
Now that’s how you do business. One question that comes to mind is, “How exactly did he sign the contract while at a fast food restaurant in Texas?” The quarterback signed the contract on his smartphone with an electric signature, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN.
The most important question in all of this is what did McCown get a Chick-fil-A? Did he get enough food for all of his teammates? The answer to that question is probably no and his teammates are probably wondering where their Chick-fil-A is.
Hey McCown, next time, make sure you buy enough food for you and your teammates because $10 million is more than enough to cover that.
The veteran QB enjoyed his best season in the NFL last year with New York. He threw for 2,926 yards with 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions while completing a career-high 67.3 percent of his passes. He also finished with a quarterback rating of 94.5 and was 5-8 in 13 starts.
The Jets now have two quarterbacks after they signed former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. While McCown will be Gang Green’s starting quarterback, Bridgewater could see some action.
I wonder if Bridgewater would sign a contract on his phone and if he would do it at a fast food restaurant. Ah, the greatness of social media.
