Chris Carlin Leaves WIP In Philadelphia: Is A Return To WFAN Next?

Chris Carlin, who is no stranger to New York sports fans, appears to be one step closer to rejoining WFAN.

Chris Carlin, former producer of the Mike and the Mad Dog show and recently the afternoon co-host of the Carlin & Reese show at SportsRadio 94 WIP in Philadelphia with former Eagle Ike Reese, has officially left the station.

This comes on the heels of the rumored announcement that Carlin will be part of the three-person team to replace Mike Francesa on WFAN. Carlin is rumored to join former Jets linebacker Bart Scott as well as SI Now and CBS Sports Network host Maggie Gray as the new team to host the afternoon show on WFAN.

Carlin, who came to Philadelphia to host with Reese last November, has been constantly rumored as a replacement for Francesa. As of today, Carlin’s Twitter account still had him as co-host at WIP. But at 2 p.m. ET, WIP announced on air that Jon Marks, evening show host at WIP, will replace Carlin as Reese’s co-host beginning on Thursday.
A search of the show’s Twitter account @CarlinReeseWIP now brings up the new show @MarksReeseWIP.
