Just because the New York Jets and Darrelle Revis have moved on from one another doesn’t mean Revis is done playing football.
We all knew that it was time for a mutual parting between the New York Jets and Darrelle Revis after a tumultuous 2016 season. There was a tangible funk coming from Revis Island. Not only were there questions about his level of play, but his work ethic as well. Obviously, the other 31 teams had the same questions, because he’s still a free agent.
But according to a new report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Revis might not be a free agent much longer.
Darrelle Revis wants to play, intends to play and, after hearing from some teams, believes he will play:… https://t.co/75A6Z7p2zc

Revis has yet to workout for anyone, but several teams have kicked the tires in terms of phone calls to the Revis camp.
Over his 10-year career, Revis has 483 tackles, two sacks, six forced fumbles and 11 fumble recoveries. He’s also intercepted 29 passes, returning three for touchdowns.
Ultimately, Revis will suit up for another team this season. But while he’s a future Pro Football Hall of Famer, teams should be weary. The issues that came up last year could remain.
Revis is my favorite NFL player of all-time. In high school I watched his tape and tried to mimic what he brings to the table. Now, I’m offended by his lack of passion in the game.
Here’s a challenge to Revis: If you’re going to return to the game, give it your all or don’t come back. Playing the game is a privilege. Start acting like you understand that..
