Buffalo Sabres Center Ryan O’Reilly Does Interview Wearing Roller Skate Guards

In a world where crazy things pop up everywhere, Buffalo Sabres center Ryan O’Reilly has something most hockey players will want.

Now I have seen everything! Ryan O’Reilly, a center for the Buffalo Sabres, got interviewed while wearing roller skates recently. Well, he actually did it on his ice skates, with roller skate “skate covers” on his blades. Yes, fans, a new fad in the hockey world is being created right in front of your eyes.

Instead of wearing the typical rubber skate guards you often see players wear when they need to walk over unprotected areas of an arena, O’Reilly sported a pair of these roller skate guards, and they look sharp.

Joe Yerdon tweeted the picture. In the tweet, it also mentioned that a few other guys had ordered some too. A quick internet search showed they cost anywhere from $49 to $79. What will they come up with next?
