Facing a 14-0 deficit, New York Jets quarterback Josh McCown finds Jermaine Kearse to cut the Oakland Raiders lead in half.
We discussed it to death this past week.
This challenged New York Jets offense must take what the defense gives them. It’s that simple.
Against the Buffalo Bills defense last week, John Morton and the offense continued to hammer the run game and look for some balance. They continued to look for those three-step drop timing passing plays to no avail.
It’ tough to do against a stacked box.
This week in Oakland, after seeing their defense give up two Michael Crabtree scores, Josh McCown and the offense looked downfield.
Facing a 3rd-and-short and knowing the Raiders defense would be singled up on the outside, McCown found Jermaine Kearse on the nine-route down the right sideline for the touchdown (video above).
After a Chandler Catanzaro field goal cut the deficit to 14-10, Derek Carr and the Raiders are ready to receive the ball with just over three minutes to go in the first half.
