How tight are Floyd Mayweather and Tom Brady? According to Brady, not as tight as Mayweather believes.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady denied that he has a close friendship with Floyd Mayweather on Monday during an interview on WEEI’s Kirk & Callahan Show.
Last week Mayweather told Sal Paolantonio of ESPN that he and Brady were very close friends.
“That’s a close friend of mine. Tom Brady is a very, very close friend,” Mayweather told Paolantonio. “An unbelievable guy with unbelievable talent…he’s a great guy. Actually, Tom Brady texted me yesterday. We have a cool friendship.”
The Patriots quarterback denied that a close friendship existed.
“No, I met him a couple times,” Brady told the radio hosts, per Jaclyn Hendricks of the New York Post. “I think he’s a great fighter. That was a great fight the other night.”
So Tom, if you’re not friends with Floyd, can you explain why you two were FaceTiming with each other just days before Mayweather fought Conor McGregor?
Clearly, Brady and Mayweather are friends. Maybe they aren’t BFFs, but there’s certainly a relationship between the two. Why deny it, Tom? It makes no sense.
