Finally, someone besides the Boston Red Sox to call Derek Jeter “Daddy!” Jeter and his wife announced their new addition this morning.

It’s a Friday and what a good Friday it is for former New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter and his wife, who welcomed Baby Jeter yesterday.

It was announced that Hannah Jeter gave birth to the couple’s first child yesterday, August 17. Their daughter, named Bella Raine Jeter, shares a birthday with one of Jeter’s own best friends.

Jorge Posada celebrated his 47th birthday on the same day Jeter’s daughter was born. What great company to share a birthday with.

Jeter, who tends to keep his private life just that, has yet to release a picture of his daughter. However, we can only imagine just how beautiful she is, especially considering the two parents who made this girl.

Just think, she is not even a day old and she’s set for life. The daughter of a baseball legend and a smoking swimsuit model. Already close with Hall of Fame-nominee Posada. She’s got it made.

I never thought I would be jealous of a baby but here I am, in awe of this child who gets to look at Derek Jeter every day of her life. And he’s not just a dad…he’s a cool dad.

Congratulations to Hannah and Derek on their newest addition to the family! And congratulations to little Bella for being well on her way to being the most popular baby in the baseball world!
