More details emerge on New York Knicks point guard Ron Baker’s crazy contract while Dwayne Wade talks working out with Tim Hardaway Jr.

The New York Knicks are the worst negotiators in the NBA. Ron Baker‘s crazy contract is the perfect example. New York inexplicably gave him $8.9 million over two years with a player option for the next two seasons.

According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, the contract gets even more bizarre. Marks says that the player option gives Baker a one-year bird restriction. Technically, the reserve point guard has a no-trade clause.

The Knicks formally announced the signings multiple players on Tuesday including Baker and second-round pick Damyean Dotson. Unlike Baker’s deal, Dotson’s was well done. He has the first two seasons of a three-year deal guaranteed at a low number.

Dwyane Wade posted a photo on his Instagram Tuesday of him working out with new Knicks guard Tim Hardaway Jr. Wade stated on his Instagram that he and Hardaway worked out in Los Angeles last week.

Wade elaborated on what he saw from the 25-year-old during their workout via Taylor Rooks.

The future Hall of Famer tells Rooks that the Knicks should expect great things. Wade claims that his buddy has been working “tirelessly on his body and game.”
