The New York Jets are dealing with an arrest with one of their promising stars in OLB, Lorenzo Mauldin, first reported by TMZ Sports.

It’s not enough that the New York Jets are tanking the 2017 season, but the remaining players on the team are apparently doing whatever it takes to miss the upcoming season too.

“Jets outside linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin has been arrested for a misdemeanor assault for allegedly attacking a man in an NYC nightclub back in April”, per a TMZ Sports report.

In that same report, it has been confirmed that Mauldin has turned himself into authorities Wednesday morning.

The man is also suing Mauldin for several broken bones he suffered in his face. We’ll have to let the legal process take its course. That’s the same message we’ll hear from the coaching staff at the end of next month.

While his hearing is scheduled for Aug. 16, more updates have been released by ESPN’s Rich Cimini.

Mauldin, when he got his first opportunity to talk about the incident, said he was “shocked” and his lawyers said that he witnessed the incident but did not participate.

We’ll discuss this and more on this week’s episode of The Jets Zone via Sports War Radio.
