A representative for New York Knicks‘ Kristaps Porzingis made an announcement about Saturday’s controversial tweet from the star player.
The cryptic tweet on Saturday from Kristaps Porzingis‘ Twitter account with the team name Los Angeles Clippers followed by smiley face emojis wasn’t sent out by the New York Knicks forward.
Per Ian Begley of ESPN New York, a representative of Porzingis says that KP was asleep when the tweet was sent out. Apparently, his account was hacked.

It’s not a surprising conclusion to this situation. Although, it doesn’t mean that the 21-year-old isn’t still upset with the team over the drama regarding the Carmelo Anthony-Phil Jackson situation.
Porzingis memorably skipped his exit meeting with Jackson and general manager Steve Mills and hasn’t spoken to anyone associated with the team since.
The tweet was jarring because the Clippers have been a rumored destination for Anthony since Jackson started his crusade to get the superstar scorer out of New York.
