Sheldon Richardson took over Rontez Miles‘ snapchat before the game and had an interesting expression before the New York Jets took the field.

It’s been a brutal year for the New York Jets in 2016 on the field. But it’s beginning to be just as bad off the field. Take a listen to what Sheldon Richardson said before the game.

Yep. That’s not something you want to hear from one of your supposed “star” players before a game, despite a 4-9 (at the time) record.

The question of effort has been circling the Jets since they dropped to 1-5 and their season was done before Halloween. First there was the missed birthday party  by Muhammad Wilkerson, and now this disaster.

For Richardson, he has just 1.5 sacks this season which is less than his personal foul total. That statistic is a pretty good way to sum up why the Jets have been struggling so mightily. They’re a veteran team with no leadership. Not a good combination.

The once thought of dominant defensive line has been nothing short of a disappointment, which is the exact feeling I have towards Sheldon Richardson after these comments.

Supposedly, Mike Maccagnan wanted a first round pick for Richardson at the trade deadline this year. He will be lucky if he gets a third round pick this offseason.

The circus tent is back up and running in East Rutherford, New Jersey and it’s time the Jets sent the clowns packing.
