Despite being traded on Monday, Aroldis Chapman continues to show a willingness to throw the pinstripes back on in 2017.

In an Instagram post which said farewell to New York and made way for his new chapter in Chicago, Aroldis Chapman displayed no commitments to the Cubs long-term. In fact, he went on to say “#newyorkyankees bye for now.”

If I read that correctly, it is a guy hungry for a World Series in Chicago, yet a guy who purely enjoyed his time in pinstripes. With his impending free agency, do not be surprised in the slightest if the flamethrower is lured back to the Big Apple.

Sure, the Yankees eliminated him from their plans in 2016. However, bringing him back would mean the addition of two high-level prospects and a proven big league commodity for virtually nothing.

The interesting part: the southpaw would not oppose.
