Spotted with Brandon Marshall or not, Ryan Fitzpatrick and the New York Jets are not expected to strike a deal before camp opens.
Forget the 11th hour, we’re way beyond that.
Ryan Fitzpatrick still remains unsigned. He’s an NFL free agent on July 26, just two days prior to New York Jets training camp opening up.
Recently, reports surfaced that Mike Maccagnan and the Jets tabled a few offers for the veteran Harvard grad.
Despite the offers, and catching up with his boy Brandon Marshall in Chicago recently, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network has recently reported that Fitz and the Jets are unlikely to strike any form of deal prior to the start of camp.
It doesn’t appear there will be a deal between the #Jets and QB Ryan Fitzpatrick before the start of camp, I’m told. The standoff continues.

As it stands right now, Geno Smith is the starting quarterback with young and extremely raw Christian Hackenberg and Bryce Petty as the other two.
