Dustin Johnson Claims First Major With 2016 U.S. Open Championship (Highlights)

Finally, on Father’s Day of 2016, Dustin Johnson has claimed his first major golf win with a U.S. Open Championship.

Finally, Dustin Johnson has broken through.

He is now a major champion after his triumph at the 2016 U.S. Open at Oakmonst Country club this weekend.

His final round consisted of a -4 and several clutch, major worthy shots. His picturesque approach on the 18th hole counted for his final birdie of the tournament while cementing his place as eventual champ.

Shane Lowry, Jim Furyk and Scott Piercy tied for second at one under. Sergio Garcia and Branden Grace tied for fifth at even par.

Johnson’s wife, Paulina Gretzky, greeted DJ after the tournament to put the exclamation point on this very special Father’s Day.

The only drama for Johnson occurred on the fifth hole when his ball slightly moved on the green. Not knowing whether or not he’d be assessed a penalty stroke, DJ played on. Luckily, it wasn’t a factor.
