Squaring off against fellow rookie Justise Winslow and the Miami Heat, New York Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis made sure to bring his stubborn defense.

It looks as though New York Knicks rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis is slowly but surely getting his legs back.

With the Knickerbockers hosting Dwyane Wade‘s Miami Heat tonight at Madison Square Garden, young Porzingis made sure to bring his stout defense with him.

As you can see in the above video, he left his man to reject fellow first-round rookie Justise Winslow, who had a clear path to the basket thanks to a sleepy Jose Calderon on defense. Better than that was his second straight rejection which came against the ultra aggressive Hassan Whiteside.

Porzingis collected four blocks in the first quarter of play. With 4:25 remaining in the first half the Knicks trail the Heat by 10.
