In this year’s version of the NBA 3-Point Contest during All-Star Saturday Night, it turned out to be Klay Thompson beating Stephen Curry for the crown.
It doesn’t really matter which guy it turns out to be. Just understand this one important thing: either guy is worthy.
Last season it was NBA MVP Stephen Curry who took home the 3-Point crown. This season it turned out to be his teammate, Klay Thompson, who narrowly squeaked past Steph to take home the Foot Locker 3-Point Shooting Contest at NBA’s All-Star Saturday Night in Toronto.
The number he had to beat was 23, and he did so by drilling all five of his money balls on the last rack:

These guys truly are dubbed the “Splash Brothers” for a reason. If you were a doubter prior to tonight, perhaps you better fall in line.
I know the rest of the NBA has.

Klay Thompson 5-for-5 money ball rack to finish off a win over Steph Curry. … and yes, I know how weird that sounds.

A 23 for Curry, and it seemed almost normal after the perfect first rack.
