It seems all is forgiven with New York Knicks latvian rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis and that “crying kid” from NBA Draft day.
As human beings we under the concept that time heals all wounds.
Some wounds take longer to close up than others. Instead of a week or two, or a day or a few, years are needed.
But when such a young and mature human being is involved, time becomes short.
Remember when Phil Jackson and the New York Knicks selected 20-year old Latvian Kristaps Porzingis with the No. 4 overall pick in last spring’s NBA Draft? The chorus of boos, the faces of fans, and the overwhelming “what the hell did they just do” sentiment rang loudly at the Barclays Center.
There was one fan who immediately became the poster boy – the “crying kid.”
There he was with his phone and both of his thumbs pointing down in disapproval.
Today, however, the script has been flipped.
Thanks to Porzingis’s stellar promise and his incredibly mature attitude, he snapped this photo with the young “crying fan” prior his team’s MLK Day matinee contest against the lowly Philadelphia 76ers (photo above).
It doesn’t get much sweeter than that.
