2. The Chicago Cubs

Projected rotation: Jake Arrieta, Jon Lester, John Lackey, Jason Hammel, Kyle Hendricks

The Chicago Cubs rotation last year was one of the best in the National league, and only got better this offseason.

Last offseason the Cubs inked Jon Lester to a six-year, $155 million contract. It was thought that Lester would take over as the ace for the Cubs, however Jake Arrieta stole the spotlight from Lester in 2015.

Arrieta was the best arm in the National League in 2015, thus the reason he won the CY Young. In ’15 Jake went 22-6 with an ERA of 1.77.

The Cubs made a move this offseason by stealing John Lackey from the St. Louis Cardinals. Lackey was excellent last year posting an ERA of 2.77.

The Cubs front three is one of the best in the sport, and can compete with any front three in the game.

Both Jason Hammel and Kyle Hendricks complete the back end of the Cubs rotation and makes them one of the most complete in the sport.
