3. The Washington Nationals
Projected rotation: Max Scherzer, Stephen Strasburg, Gio Gonzalez, Tanner Roark, Joe Ross
The Washington Nationals rotation is gearing up to be one of the league’s best once again. Despite losing Jordan Zimmerman in free agency, the Nationals rotation is as good as ever.
The Nats brought in Max Scherzer last year who had an impressive season in 2015. Scherzer earned an era of 2.79 with four complete games, three shutouts, and two no-hitters.
Both Stephen Strasburg and Gio Gonzalez have shown flashes of greatness, and have the potential to be top tier starters in the league.
Starters, Tanner Roark and Joe Ross, both have the potential to lock down the back end of the rotation for the Nationals.
The Nationals rotation will be hit or miss in 2016. Aside from Scherzer everyone else in the rotation is hot and cold, but when they are all firing on all cylinders they are one of the most talented starting rotations is the National League.
