4. The Cleveland Indians
Projected rotation: Corey Kluber, Carlos Carrasco, Danny Salazar, Trevor Bauer, Josh Tomlin
The Indians starting rotation lead the league in strikeouts in 2015, and there is no reason to believe they won’t do it again next year.
They Indians rotation was filthy all of last year. They had four of the American League’s top seven strikeout leaders. Three of the team’s starters also ranked in the top 11 in the American League in ERA.
The tribe easily have the most lethal starting rotation in the American League. What makes them so scary is that their pitching is young, raw, and untapped. The sky is the limit with these guys.
Sadly, the Cleveland offense is poor, and it looks like they aren’t going to do anything substantial to improve at the plate. They ranked 18th out of the 30 MLB teams in offensive stats.
Their pitching is lethal, and cost effective, which makes the future for Cleveland a bright one.
