Today as the Nebraska Cornhuskers took on the Miami Hurricanes, a major cheap shot went a long way in determining the outcome of the game.

Ladies and gentlemen, there are dirty plays in the world of sports and there are incredibly stupid dirty plays.

This one seen by many across the country featuring the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Miami Hurricanes will go down in the books as one of the dumbest plays of all-time.

Check out Nebraska offensive tackle Alex Lewis along the sideline (Video above). He completely levels Miami defensive back Corn Elder after a crucial interception thrown by Tommy Armstrong Jr.

While the dancing along the sideline is admittedly quite annoying, Lewis’s boneheaded play occurred in overtime with the game tied up at 33 apiece. This put Miami in field goal range, which they consequently capitalized on to win the game 36-33.

Now that doesn’t make Saturday night enjoyable across campus tonight.
