A huge brouhaha broke out on Tuesday during a joint practice between the Dallas Cowboys and the St. Louis Rams.
Coaches will never publicly back an on-field fight. It’s just cannot happen. They’re supposed to stand for the good of the game, doing things the right way.
At the same time, behind closed doors with his contemporaries he’ll display the slightest of grins. He knows how important these NFL Training Camp fights are.
Both Jason Garrett and Jeff Fisher could be smiling right now, for their respective teams were involved in the biggest training camp fight yet. The two teams were involved in a joint practice when all of a sudden things got a little out of hand.
Dez Bryant, who’s no stranger to preseason fights as evidence with his scuffle with Tyler Patton a couple weeks ago, took a shot to the face in this one:

Overall it was one of the better ones we’ve seen in a while. Lets be honest for a moment. If helmets stay on, none of these guys can truly get hurt. But when you see bodies flying left and right thanks to spears and body chucks, you understand how big and fast these terrorizing fellows truly are.
